The Big Five
The term ‘Big Five’ was coined by big-game hunters, as these five animals were the most challenging and dangerous trophies to hunt on foot because of their size and aggression. The big five game animals are the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros (either black or white).
